But more importantly it was SUNDAY! And J came to church finally!
We have had a great week here on the Texas Coast. The weather was beautiful and we experienced many miracles. It was odd because we have had a lot of people we know end up in the hospital for different reasons. But it lead to us being able to go to see them with the Elders. One was a nonmember and she asked for a Priesthood blessing. The Spirit was so strong and moved us to tears. I know her heart is being prepared to hear the gospel.
We went on exchanges this week for about a day and a half with our Sister Training Leader. While on exchanges we went to a 2-year-old's birthday party and she OYMed all the Spanish speakers while we talked to the members that were there. It was a huge blessing she was there with us. It was also great because she serves downtown and they all lived up there.
As you will see my week revolved a lot around animals. I am not sure why! We went to a members to fix her computer and we played with her dog and cat. Lucy is the little white dog on my lap. Her cat Puff is my favorite...never thought I would say that. But she is so fun to mess with! The bird is Danny and a member just got him last week. He is a trip as well. He likes to dance and "go crazy". We spent a whole lesson just laughing at him.
On Saturday we had Stake Women's conference. I got to see all my Texas City sisters and catch up with them. The branch went through a rough patch when the areas switched but I was glad to hear they are getting back up in numbers and spirit. I love those women so much and I am so glad I got to see and talk with them. It is hard to believe that I spent 6 months with them and created so much history together. We had an awesome conference. We learned about the Priesthood from our Stake President and about how we can better stand as witnesses in the places in which we are everyday.
Earlier today we traveled the Seabrook Pelican Path and took pictures of all the painted pelicans that are around the town. They are something that Seabrook did to revive the town and create more unity. We took lots of pics so you will be seeing them for a while.
I love you all :)) Look for a letter in the next week!
