This week has been full of festivities! Monday we celebrated a member's birthday with her.
On Tuesday we had a dinner party with a few members and helped bake and decorate the house. This member is the best fellowshipper! She has a big dinner almost once a week to help people the ward is working with. She's basically the best! After that we had an Ugly Sweater party for Relief Society.
On Wednesday we had dinner with a member and then went caroling with her to her non member friend's homes.
On Thursday we played Bunco! The sisters play once a month and it is no small matter. It was a blast! We also helped another woman make cookies! And on Saturday we had the ward Christmas party!
We spent most of Saturday at the church setting up. The theme was a Night in Bethlehem. It looked awesome. The pictures don't even do it justice! It was a great way to make sure that the whole night was focused on the true meaning of Christmas. It was also fun because we got to dress up! On Sunday we had our ward Christmas musical program which we sang in. Also we taught primary!
We had a pretty crazy week. Only bummer was we didn't get to teach as many people as we wanted. I guess it is a blessing, though, because most likely I am leaving Seabrook for 2 weeks :(. I am going to stay with the sisters serving in the Armand Bayou singles branch. They cover this area, too, so I may be able to stop in a see a few people. I would be a little more upset if I had to leave my investigators for 2 weeks.
We had such a fun week! I love the Spirit and joy that surround all the activities around Christmas time. We spend much more time in members homes and less actives are more open to having us around as well. This area is so blessed with many people that are coming back to church and I am so happy to see all the support the ward is giving them. I feel like they are making our job easy!
Well, I love you! I'm glad that you are getting all ready for Christmas. Enjoy your last week of work! And enjoy your break!
With love,
Sister Greaves
