Happy New Year Y'all!
I am really glad y'all sent some warm things for Christmas because the temperature dropped again! But now I am better off, so thanks! We have been really cold lately but no snow. I can't believe it snowed in Hemet and I missed it haha. Well I guess I'll take $1.75 gas instead...seriously it is really cheap here! Sounds like y'all had a good New Years Day!
This week has felt really long! But it has been full of miracles! We got all of our plumbing problems fixed this week. We have a fabulous new wall in our bathroom! It is really nice to have that taken care of! I was able to attend all 3 hours of the Seabrook ward, too. I have really missed these people and I am glad all the holidays are over so we can all start working together again. Not going to lie, though, it has been really nice to have a break from eating at member's every night. Feeling sick all the time is not the best way to spend your days.
We were also blessed to meet 5 less actives that never had been contacted before and they were all friendly! We got return appointments with most of them, too! It is a pleasure seeing less actives have a desire to come back unto Christ. I will keep you updated as we meet with them this week!
My GREENIE! Her name is Sister Bird! People keep telling me that I just went from a Hawkes to a Bird....yup really funny guys. Almost as funny as getting 'Sister Greaves, it grieveth me to tell you..." At least I haven't gotten Kalle from Cali for 7 months. Anyway, she is from Syracuse, Utah and she is 19. She is really cute. We are really different from each other but we get along great. It has been hard to be so close to the world again. I have tried so hard the last 7 months to leave it and she just brought it back in. I am grateful that I have been blessed with a great desire to be obedient and I hope that she can adjust soon! I always have to remember that I was probably just like her at the start of my mission so I know all things will be up hill from here.
My favorite part of this week was J bearing his testimony at church. He had half the ward in tears. They love him so much, as do we :) I am so glad that he is progressing and has a great desire to go to the temple. We are meeting with him tonight to do family history!
I love this work and I am so happy to be a part of it. I know that it is Christ's true church and it can bless ALL people. Read D&C 15. It has been my favorite chapter this week!
I love you!
