Hey!
Glad you survived your birthday, Dad! If it helps our car died on Tuesday! We had to have the Elders come and jump us. Luckily they had cables.
This week we have been blessed to see many less actives. We have a few that we have never been able to contact before! I love being able to hear everyone's stories and meet their families.
Our big miracle this week was a little note left on our door. We had been praying to find someone that we could help. Both temporally and spiritually. The note said, "I heard you help people in need. I would love to talk to you..." She lived in our apartment complex so we visited them the next day. Turns out that they are without power, heat, food and their car got stolen. It was pretty bad. Of course we as missionaries couldn't do much for them but we got some members to help us gather food. Since our complex is all electric they used their fireplace to cook. The next day we went back we gave them a Book of Mormon and promised that reading from it would bring comfort and peace. She said that when we stop by her stress level drops and she feels hope. We told her to turn to God and she will continue to feel blessed. As of today they are still without power but since it stopped raining they are able to get to the library and access a phone. They are on their way out :) I love going to see them everyday!
We did family history with J and we are preparing to get him to the temple in a week or so. We were able to help him find some names to take. His mom was really interested in family history so we are hoping to start meeting with her soon for her to start her tree!
We also finally met with W! He went to Nauvoo and felt the Spirit. He is already reading the Book of Mormon and told us he thinks this church is the next step for his family. He is so golden. Only problem is he drives a tour bus and is gone a lot of the week, especially on Sundays! But we have faith that we can get in contact with him more and help him and his family come unto Christ.
It has been cold but the work is progressing. I am loving the Seabrook ward more and more everyday! Sister Bird and I are starting to pick up the pace. We are learning so much each and everyday.
I love you all and I am excited to hear where this year takes y'all! Send me lots of pictures :))
Have a good week!
