But we went to the temple instead! Much better for a missionary anyway. Yea it was really hard to turn down those tickets. We didn't have anyone to take us so we couldn't go. Maybe the chance will come again when I come back to visit. Probably would have made me trunkie anyway.
The temple this morning was wonderful. I haven't been able to go since November so I was thrilled that we got to go again. We went with some of the sisters in the ward. Transfers are next week by the way. I will let you know on Monday if I will be staying or going.
So our investigators are still hiding from us. It seemed like every time we pulled up they were walking or driving away. Guess it wasn't meant to be. Because of spring break W has been gone for almost 2 weeks straight on the bus. He is supposed to get in tonight so maybe we will get a chance to see him this week. He is however going to be the tour bus driver that is taking our stake to Nauvoo this summer! So no matter what happens I know that in July he will get to go and feel the Spirit in abundance all over again. Maybe that is what he needs to hit it into high gear!
Other than that our investigators are really far under the radar. We are thinking it is time to push on and put our focus elsewhere for a bit. We spent a lot of time with members last week.
We had a really long and frustrating battle concerning C that came to church 2 weeks ago. Long story short is the Elders are now teaching her and we have not seen her anywhere since. I am not sure what's up but all I can do is pray that she will get all that she needs. I will write the whole story in a letter home. Or maybe later on here if I have time.
For Relief Society's Birthday we had an activity and we made Easter baskets for under privileged kids. We made 40 baskets and we got to help deliver them the next day. Oh they were so cute and we had a ton of fun with the sisters making them. And on Saturday all 4 units in our building got together for the annual "Chili Cook Off". To be honest I was not a fan of a single chili I tried. Mom yours is truly the best. "Real Texas Chili" has got nothing on you :) It was a fun night though. We got to be with the wards and it was the first day the weather was beautiful so we got to do it outside. Sister even let us sit in her new Camero. And I finally got the real scoop on Brother B. He is a honey specialist and he created the honey used on Honey Nut cheerios! Not only that but he helped create chicken nuggets and Gushers. He can determine where and when a bee was pollinating by just smelling honey. And he is right! It is crazy. I don't know if I ever told you about this but there is a guy in our ward, Brother R.L. and he was the guy that created the suit for the guy that jumped from space. Yea random.
Not a ton of "spiritual" things happened this week. But it was fun and I laughed a bunch so I know that things can't be too bad. I am coming to see more and more that Satan does all he can to make you miserable and usually it is over something that is so silly and just holds you back. This really is missionary fun! I hope that I can apply that more into my work. I feel like I have missed some chances in the past few months and I can't let that hold me back anymore. I need to start living my mission to it's full potential. I can't have any regrets. I want to help these people and I hope I am doing what I can.
I love it out here and I know that this Gospel is the only way to everlasting happiness. I have experienced so much joy with these people. I am so happy that our Heavenly Father lets us have glimpses of this eternal joy.
Have a good week y'all!
