Hey everyone!
Sounds like you all are having fun summers and I am glad that all is well!
This week as you know we had transfers. My new companion is Hermana Duncan. She is from Highland Utah and is actually going home at the end of this transfer so I will be getting yet another companion in about 5 weeks. She is actually a Spanish speaking sister which I am thrilled about. She does language study every morning so I get to sit and learn as well. I am able to pray and bear my testimony in Spanish now. It is awesome! Plus having someone that speaks Spanish is doing wonders in Texas City.
Also I got my Tiwi card this week so I can finally drive! It felt so good to get behind the wheel again for the first time in months. A couple of days ago we also found a lizard in our apartment. Trying to catch it was the most entertaining thing I have seen in a long while. The new sisters that moved in are just as fun as the last and I am looking forward to getting to know them more.
So the cop story continues.....This week we were biking passed the branch building and we see a patrol car sitting there so we ride over to see if it is A and of course it is. We end up talking to him for about 30 minutes about prophets and the restoration and such. We invited him to church and he said maybe. So we told him that we would have his friend call and get him to go. Before we could even call the guy A called him first! It was awesome. He didn't show up to church but he still wants to talk to us so we count that as a plus. We should be teaching him this Tuesday. Another miracle this week was C finally let us come over again and we are able to teach her again!
This morning we did a study with Brother Krenkel, the first counselor in the Branch presidency. It was amazing. He served in the Carlsbad mission from 2007 to 2009. Talk about someone who was totally converted on their mission. That is what I learned this week. Being totally converted unto the Lord. I learned I have to give him everything, not just sacrifice my time and talents but my heart and soul. If I don't give him everything how could I be an effective tool in His hands. He couldn't use me to my full potential if I am still kicking the pricks and won't let go. Read D&C 121 especially any of you reading that are preparing for missions. Don't wait too long to learn this lesson. Missions are already hard enough.
Well that's it for this week. Next week we are going to the temple so we will be moving our P-day to Wednesday the 30th. I will email you then. I am so excited to be able to go to the temple. Two months is way to long to go with out.
I hope y'all have a wonderful week!
I love you!

Pictures:
1. Yes that is a squirrel sitting in a chair eating corn on the Cob. I didn't believe it at first when I rode by.
2. This is Sis. Calton and I with M, L, M and A. They are the kids of some on the recent converts in the branch.
3. This is just to show you what rain storms look like as they are coming at you. Notice the difference in the sky from the top of the picture to the bottom. Don't worry we got a ride home that night.
