Can you believe it?! I am halfway done but I feel like I just getting started. I still feel so new and like I have tons to learn. I am grateful for the things that I have learned and the things that have greatly strengthened my relationship with my Heavenly Father and my Savior. I think the thing I am the most grateful for is my new scripture study habits. I now know how to more effectively study and receive revelation. I am also so happy to know all the people I have met in Texas City and Seabrook. I love them so much!
This week we spent most of the daytime helping the B family pack and move. One day her nonmember best friend came over and helped too and we were able to invite her to an activity later this month. The move was so much fun. I don't know why people think I am crazy but I love to move. It is a fresh start!
On Wednesday I served in Kemah on exchanges. Of course I always end up in a Spanish area! I had so much fun. I actually understood most of the conversation this time too. I even said a prayer in a lesson. I love working in the Spanish areas. Oh and dad! You will be so proud. I ate something with avocado, tomatoes and sour cream. I also ate pie. Holy cow I am a changed woman. I really can eat most things now. Miracles do happen ;) But really I had so much fun down in Kemah. We told ourselves that we had to OYM everyone English and Spanish and we did it. We walked up to every person we saw and taught them a piece of the Gospel. I don't know why but it is so much easier in someone elses area. I guess cause if you mess up you will never see them again. I need to be better about talking to everyone I see in my area.
We got a new Bishopric this Sunday. We were in the hall waiting for someone and when we walked in they were releasing Bishop B. Wasn't expecting that to happen. The Spirit was so strong as they were released and the new set were called. Bro. F is the new second counselor and watching him and his family was my favorite part! They are converts of about 11 years. He became a high priest yesterday. The Spirit about him was incredible. It literally brought me to tears. I love this Gospel! I am really excited to start working with them more fully.
Nothing really exciting happened this week but I was just so happy the whole time. I know most of the time I am frustrated or unhappy it is because I am allowing myself to be. Sure we don't teach as much as I would like and we don't have people that progress but I love the members and I am gaining so many good relationships with people. They bring me happiness. Missions are not like I expected, I have known that since week 1. But they surprise you in the best ways possible. I am starting to get over the fact that I will never see the fruits of my labor. It is alright. I am happy and the church is true. I can't ask for much more than that. Heavenly Father knows we are trying and that is all that matters.
I love you all :)
Have a great week!
