So I don't have a ton of time so I will fill you in more on SUNDAY when I call you! Can you believe it is already time for that again?!
Sister Moreno and I are sticking together in Alief for another 6 weeks. I am excited because we will both be able to celebrate our year mark together. I just so happens to be a Monday too so we are going to really be able to celebrate...probably by taking a nap.
Last week we went bowling as a district. I did terribly. But on my defense I haven't been bowling for years! I was so proud of the fact that I made it over 2 years at BYU and never went bowling on a date. Anyway. So pictured below is the Alief district. They are good kids. We have to endure a lot together but we still have a good time.
We had stake conference this weekend and the Stake presidency was reorganized. Elders Hallstrom and Hainey came to make the calling. It was a good conference! We talked about family councils and ward councils and their importance. It was good to get some tips of how we can work better as a ward. From what I have seen everyone is a little dysfunctional when it comes to ward council. President Ashton and his wife did their final testimonies for the Stake since they will be released before the next one. It is so sad to think that they have less than 2 months left on their mission. I am going to miss them so much! We rode to both sessions with the Smith family. They have feed us once a week since I have been here. They are so cute!
This week we focused most of the time we had to work on finding and we have been blessed with some great people to work with. Most people we are working with right now know that there is a God and that is pretty much it. I am so excited to help them gain a relationship with our Heavenly Father and Savior and hopefully see learn and grow as they feel the love and support from them. It is humbling to see people who are hurting but they don't know why. But it is wonderful to know that the Gospel of our Savior will be able to bless and lift them. Sure they may not get baptized in the next month or so but peace can come as we teach them to read and pray. Those are things that they were never taught to do.
Oh I got to have dinner at the S's this week! I love them so much. They are truly my home away from home. They get released in like 2 weeks! They showed me the pictures of their trip to Hemet a few weeks ago.
We are going to the temple on Thursday which I am in need of! Our friend M is receiving her endowment because she is leaving on her mission in a month to Denver Colorado.
Well. Starting thinking about what you want to talk about on Sunday. I will have about 40 minutes again. Sorry I only had about an hour today instead of my normal 90 minutes.
