I have had a really great couple of weeks! We have had the chance to do service many time which has been so fun! We are helping a couple in the ward redo their house. I got to bust out some drywall and wall paneling. While we were there we were able to talk to some of their neighbors and we have an appointment with them tonight! We went out to Galveston and helped our favorite Reverend clean up a house that will be turned into a women's shelter. It doesn't even feel like work when you are with the Rev! He is this hilarious man who just loves the Mormons. (I'll send a picture of us with him soon) We helped a member fix up her chicken coups one evening and got 3 dozen fresh eggs from her. We have seen the branch members really open us to us lately. They are starting to understand the great role they can play in bringing others unto Christ.
We had an investigator FHE at a members home last week that was a huge success. We played corn hole against the Branch Presidency and just had a ton of fun!
Our investigator C moved this week which was so sad. She just up and left and didn't tell us where, but the Lord blessed us with a new investigator named J. Our first lesson with him went super well. He had done some research before we came so he could be prepared with questions. He said he wants to belong to a church only after he can read and pray and know for himself. He said his before we even talked about he pray to know section of the lesson. He is so nice and really has a great desire. I am excited to work with him!
We have seen so many miracles and blessings this week. The Lord is blessing this area so much and I am so grateful that he is letting us be a part of this great work. Sister Duncan and I know that through faith and prayer we will continue to see the Hand of the Lord guiding us in this work.
I guess I didn't have that much to say after all!
I love you and I pray for you daily.
I am glad that all has gone well with the move and getting settled into yet another new ward.
Have a great week!
