So short email this week considering I just emailed on Wednesday. Not many things happened.
But I am being transferred! I knew it was coming. The Spirit is pretty good about preparing you for those things. I hope to head closer to downtown. It is either up there or out to the boonies of Victoria I go. Or they are opening Texas City back up to sisters...maybe I will go back there :) Most likely not. I am excited for the change, though. It is always great to meet new people. I am really sad to leave these people behind. I am going to miss a lot of good moments with these people including at least 2 people going to the temple for the first time but I am just glad they finally got there! I know I can come back for baptisms so that is a relief.
Miracle! W and his whole family came to church today! It was so great to see them pull up. We weren't expecting them to be there since we haven't seen them in over 2 weeks. God is so good to us. We did nothing to deserve them coming. But Heavenly Father knew that for W to be baptized on April 4th he had be at church yesterday. God has a plan and man cannot frustrate it.
The weather here has been beautiful. 75 and sunny with that sea breeze! Except for one day. It poured all day long from 8am to 8pm. I was soaked through even in the car. It was a bummer day of trying less actives that didn't want to talk to us but those days have to happen. It was nice because we got to end the day with the B's.
Not much to say. Sorry! And no pictures either...I forgot my card reader :/
I promise next week I will have lots of pictures with all the wonderful people that I have been serving with for the past 4 months. Hopefully I will get to see many of them with in the next few days.
Words cannot even describe my time here on the coast. It has been a journey for sure. I have learned a lot. I have come to love these people. I got to see progression in ways I never thought I would. I will try to write a more descriptive letter in the coming weeks about some things I learned. I was visited some people today so we are low on email time otherwise I would do it now.
Now some homework for all y'all... what is your favorite scripture/ story and why?
My favorite verses are the words Christ says during His crucifixion. He is going though the most terrible sufferings because of the things we have done and will do and yet he turns outward. He forgives His crucifiers and the robbers on either side of him. He cries out to the Father because He feels alone and wants it to end. Don't we all relate to that at some point in our lives. Those final hours of Christ's life will never fail to move me. I encourage each of you to review those moments, especially now that Easter is a few weeks away. Check out helives.mormon.org and share this good news with all you can. We all need the Savior to return back to the presence of the Father. Take the time to find out what more you need to do to more fully come unto Christ.
I know that you will find more blessings and happiness that ever before.
I know He lives and #becausehelives I will be able to be happy and at peace in this life and in the life to come.
Have a great week! I love you :)
