Hi!
So I got my license last Monday so I am up and ready to drive again. Not driving for almost a whole month was really hard so I am happy everything got worked out. Last Monday was also a funny day because we did all of the Elder's laundry! Their dryer broke so they asked if we would wash it at our place. Of course we said yes but never in my life did I think I would be doing guy's laundry on my mission. It is always things you never expect.
Oh, I also at cow tongue this week. It was really good! J didn't tell us what it was until after we ate. Good thing. We have been seeing J regularly and he is progressing really well. He did just get a new job that requires him to work on Sunday, which is no bueno, but we will jump that hurdle when we get there. We have had a recent convert named B come over and teach us with him which is nice. We only had to sit outside one time with him but it was fine because the weather has been really nice lately!
Yes, that yellow building is a Motel 6. That is the wonderful view from our apartment balcony. Roaches are getting really bad in the apartment so hopefully they will spray this week.
We got to go to Clear Lake for the broadcast on Saturday! We had an investigator named K with us. She really liked it...as did I! Before the Broadcast our Stake President spoke to us and said, "Be where you need to be when you need to be there." He was talking a lot about how our callings put us in meetings or events where the Lord is waiting to teach us; so we need to make sure that we are always where we are asked to be because the Lord is putting us there for a reason.
I am so excited for General Conference this weekend as well! We will go out to Galveston for that and then Sunday we will watch it will an investigator and her less-active fiance! I love them so much and I am excited to spend that time with them.
We saw S a few times again this week which is always a good time. She is like our Texas City Mom and makes sure we are always doing OK. She has to have the surgery Chelsea just had! I thought that was funny.
This week we were able to teach a lot of lessons...OK, not that many, but for this area it was an improvement. We are being so blessed by our Heavenly Father! I can't even say how many prayers He has answered for us in the last week. He is very aware of us and I know that he is just waiting for us to do our part and then He will bless us.
Super cool. Check out the similitude in the following verses.
Ezekiel ch.2-3, revelation 10: 1-2 and 1 Nephi 1: 9-14, 18--Let me know what you learn!
Other than that there isn't much to report this week!
I know I am forgetting something so I will tell you next week if I remember!
I love you :)
