It seems like forever since I emailed y'all! We have had pretty much the best week. I will try to sum it up as fast as I can.
The last few days we have been doing service for the W family every few days. They are both really sick and are trying to help her MIL. Her house is falling apart and we go in every few days to clean and help in anyway that we can. While cleaning we found tons of genealogy for her! It was the best moment seeing her face light up when we found her family bible! Mom, I am glad to hear that you are really getting into it. If you have any family names to do let me know. We are going to the temple as a mission the first week of November and they are wanting us to take a name if we can. Let me know or send the stuff to my apartment. I will be there till at least Nov. 16 so you can mail me there if you would like to avoid the terrible delay coming from the mission office.
We had Stake Conference this weekend and they let us go to both sessions which was amazing! We had Elder Jim. Wright from the Seventy speak to us there. He called up all the missionaries in the stake and had us recite our purpose. It was very powerful. There are about 50+ missionaries serving in the League City Stake. We talked about hastening the work of Salvation for the living and the dead. It was a great meeting and it taught me a lot about how we can better work to help people come to Christ. Momma I am so glad you are talking to all these people in the neighborhood. Talk to them about church! Invite them over to dinner with the missionaries. You can do it, I know you can! And Dad, thank you for the story and the follow up story. I am glad you found your convert on Facebook and that she is still doing well. I only hope that I will be able to help people like that.
On Monday we went to Sugar Land for Zone conference with Elder Schwitzer and his wife. We talked mainly on the baptismal invitation and how it must be to follow Christ, not to join the Mormon church. We also talked about conversion and how we can better help those to make the commitments they need to to help them repent. "Keeping commitments lead to keeping commandments. Keeping commandments leads to keeping covenants." I will have to write you a letter about all I learned. It is more than an email of information. We were told to focus more on the Savior. The more we talk and testify of Him the stronger the Spirit is and the more they are changed. I am just on this spiritual high from the last two weekends and it is greatly effecting the work. We saw so many miracles it was amazing.
To name a few:
J has been living the Word of Wisdom for almost a week! Yay! We took his cigs and coffee from him (those are his in the picture.) We had a lesson with him last night and his desire to read the Book of Mormon is growing and growing. He is really happy with the way his life if changing.
Last Friday we were biking down Palmer to an appointment and someone flagged us down. It was a member from League City who was having car troubles. We were with her for a bit and we were late to J's. His BOM was sitting outside so we knew he would be back so we left a note saying we would come back at 4:30. We go back and his wife said give him 30 more minutes. Ok...so we are like where do we go know our whole day is off and we only have 30 minutes to spare. We both get the feeling to go right...so we do. Right away a truck pulls over to us and it is a woman and her daughter. She asked if we had plans for dinner and we said no and she gave us her address and told us to come by. She said her cousins are all Mormons and served missions and she likes to help them when she finds them. She saw us coming from down the street and in her head she knew she had to invite us over. We ate with her later that night and taught her about the Book of Mormon. She attended church with her family about 25 years ago and she wants to know more. Amazing right?!
We met with A on Monday, and for the first time in the 4 months I have known him, he opened up and told us that he wants to be closer to Christ. After months of telling him to read and pray he finally committed to doing so this week. He is finally making progress. It makes me so happy to see someone I have known my whole mission finally make the change and see he needs to turn to the Savior.
Things are finally looking up in Texas City. I am glad I get to be here for another transfer so I can continue to help these people come to Christ and see the blessings that come to all that turn to him.
I love you!

I am still the worst at taking pictures. I will repent. I am going to regret it if I don't.
Dumpster run for J, J's dog fluffy...she chases us home every night for a block or so, and gas is always under $3 here. It is awesome!
