Hey family! Well this week has been a quick one! I promise I am writing you that letter today! My P-days go very quickly and I haven't had the time! I am so sorry!
On Tuesday we spent most of the day in Clearlake doing President Interviews. It was a good day to just study and get to know the other missionaries in our Zone. Meeting with him was something I really needed to help me get out of the rut I was stuck in. It was very simple. Just keep working! Things come with time and I have a lot of time ahead of me to continue in growth and progress. Oh and while we were driving I saw Nasa! I didn't realize how close it was to us in Texas City. I also got to spend some time in Galveston this weekend for a baptism. The sisters in our district had a long time investigator get baptized on Saturday! It was a lovely service and the spirit was very strong. His non member parents came and said they really loved the feeling they had there! Ah it was awesome! We then celebrated on the Dike! It was nice to see the ocean again.
We have met some awesome people this week. We had a new couple move into the ward and they fed us this past week. They love missionary work so they are just awesome. We met a less active woman who was looking to come back to church and said that we must be "heaven sent" She has the strongest faith and testimony and seeing her at church this week was so wonderful! Our first investigator came to church this week! Whoo hooo I was so happy when I saw her. President Ashton also joined us on Sunday. I think I was good that our baby branch got to hear a strong testimony of missionary work. It is much needed on Texas City.
We met a man named S yesterday and I have yet to meet someone who is so prepared to hear the gospel...again. He got the lessons in McAllen awhile ago and was excited to meet with us again. He even wants his whole family to be there. It is incredible how the spirit really does guide you to those that are prepared.
Funny story this week... Sister Wilson was making a cake for someone's birthday. She has the can of frosting out and then goes to make some toast. She then puts the frosting on her toast. Yea it has been one of those weeks! We have consumed alot of brownies as well. I love the sisters I live with.
Also I have a picture of the young Joe Smith on my planner and a kid asked me "Is that Justin Bieber?" Oh it was so funny!
Well I have to go but one request! I can only go to the temple if I have a family name so if anyone has one close to being ready I would love to do it if y'all are willing!
I love you all so much and I am so thankful for all the love and support you show me.
Have a great week!
