Hello there!
So first things first! Congrats Haylor on your darling baby boy!!! I am so
excited to meet him in a few months! I like can't stop looking at the
pictures y'all have sent. He is SO cute. Seriously after looking at those
then looking back at my week I feel like I have nothing worthy to share. So
excuse my feeble attempt to say anything interesting.
My companion and I. Golden. We have so much fun together. The more times
goes on the more we find we have in common. For example both of our parents
were born in the same months. Dad in January and Mom in June. Our birthdays
are 3 days apart..well she is a year younger but still!
We even sound the same and so when people call they cant figure out who it
is. It is awesome!
I love her!
We were blessed with many opportunities to serve this week. While we were
at B's helping her she told us she needed help with her dish washer.
Luckily I know a guy ha. We have an Elder in our ward that is a licensed
electrician and plumber. So we gave him a call. While doing some work he
brought to her attention that there was a TON of black mold growing behind
it and into her cupboards. He and a member were able to fix it all in about
2 days. Yay for free missionary labor! While at it another missionary in
our ward fixed her computers. He can hack and fix anything.
The Alief District is seriously the most go to group of people I have ever
met. We are hard workers and we can assemble together in less than 15
minutes. #dreamteam I love them so much too!
We did service at the Mission Office as well, sorting and stocking
supplies. I enjoy being so close to the office now. The office missionaries
are like my best friends. Especially Elder Palmer he and I are buddies. He
was the one to help me with my license mix up last year and then all the
wonderful car problems we had in this area.
That man. I am going to miss him ... I am going to invite him to my
wedding. I need to take a picture with him so you can see him too.
Anyways....
We had a Stake Missionary Training on Tuesday with all the Full times and
Ward mission leaders on Tuesday. It was good timing because our new WML
was called on Sunday and he now has tons of awesome ideas! We are meeting
with him tonight to start making the new plans for the ward. The ward is
ready but just needs some direction. Bro. M is really hardworking so I
know he will be a great blessing to us and the ward.
Bowling last week was super fun. We use our Faleski assignments as our
names....mine is Bambi...not sure I told y'all that. It is because I am
sweet :) I told him he obviously doesn't know me that well. I have a joke
with another member about using bad manners and Bro. F had my back by
saying "Bambi doesn't have bad manners!" Thanks man. The Elders killed it
and said "Wait...isn't Bambi a boy?!" Buzz Kill.
We did the normal teaching thing too. haha nothing too exciting to report
on that.
Well except we are teaching this Messianic Jew who thinks Mormons are crazy
because we believe we have the potential to become Gods. That is like my
favorite part of this whole deal.
We have someone who loves us SO much that they sent us here to Earth so we
could become perfect like Him. He knew perfectly that we would mess up but
He sent us anyway...better yet He sent His perfect Son to take the
consequences for us. Because of Jesus Christ we can once again enter God's
presence. Not only that but He will give us ALL that He has.
Now please tell me how that does not sound like an awesome plan.
To end the week V came to church again! Whoohoo. He is starting to
progress again! Also we had a child of record baptism. It was the sweetest
thing!
I love y'all so much and I hope you have so much fun with the baby this
week. Give him hugs and kisses for me.
